Wouldn't you like to use more than words?

The last thing you recall is likely your own death. Whether it was fast or slow, it's over now. And you're... where are you?

One moment, you were among the living. The next - you may be one of the unfortunate ones who actually died. In which case, you've found yourself flowing in the lazy rivers of the river Styx, unfathomably deep underground. Just for a moment, mind you. It's not long before your consciousness is yanked from the waters by some scary monsters, shoved into a healed body, and pushed through a portal.

Or, maybe you were caught red-handed and sentenced to your doom. But, instead of a proper death, you were whisked down into the Veins of Tartarus. And there's really only one place that could lead to... Or is it?

You've been tossed down here by the will of the Titan, but what you find is A helping hand swooping you up - possibly literally, and potentially out of the grasp of the Titan himself.

Not a moment after, you're whisked through another rift, this one a shimmering gold. Into a realm of slightly more stable platforms and a lot more shit to look through. The area is practically littered with the ill-gotten goods of a thieving God (who is happy to note via pop-up illusion that you are touching his stuff). Here, however, you are safe; assured that Typhon cannot find or hurt you here.

For the moment, you can breathe before the next part comes.

Are we sure Typhon is the one we should be preparing to fight?

[She's been rolling it over in her head for a while now. While there are some similarities between this world and Amphoreus, she can't say she has any ideas of what that mysterious voice they've heard might be. She can't make any concrete plans. But there's still the obvious.]

With each trial, each battle we've faced, he seems to be getting weaker. More tired. And with that, we began hearing that voice. What if this mysterious being holding his leash is draining him of his strength to grow their own?

[...okay he definitely hadn't thought of that, but]

If we can take him out of the equation, at least whoever that is will have one less source of power. But that doesn't bode well for actually fighting her.

Indeed. One less source of power can make all the difference, if she needs him to gather her own strength. We just need to be careful and not use all our power and energy on Typhon, if we can help it.

That means we gotta figure out how to conserve our energy in a fight. But you all would know more about that than I would.

I've been wondering about that myself. Typhon is definitely a powerful force, but I was under the impression he was working alone. I only just learned he was working with someone.

[Fenyx crosses her arms in a bit of a pout. It's too similar to something she'd dealt with in the past, but also...]

I'd assume Athena told you about this world. That there's nobody here anymore, yes? That's what we believed. We couldn't find anyone left, and if that means someone managed to sneak under our noses somehow... then you're probably right.

[Hmm....]

Tell me about Typhon. Does he have any godly siblings? Parents? Children? Athena mentioned her own family occasionally, so I imagine it's not impossible for him to have them too.

Hmm, Typhon is a Titan. He has his own siblings and mother, Gaia the Titan of the Earth. But, in this world, we found that the Titans were slain, Gaia included.

Could she have come back somehow...? Or someone else...

... If this Gaia was the titan of the earth, then that might mean she can't entirely be killed. She could have been here before all of us were.

[She thinks of Terravox, as massive as he was, barely a speck before Georios the Earth Titan. The titan as big as a mountain range...]

Perhaps she didn't need to sneak under your nose. Perhaps she's been under our feet this entire time.

That is how Gaia works. We did think that all the Titans here were slain when we were investigating Mount Olympus. Athena had some particularly bad feelings about that weird forest that wraps around the mountain top. You've probably seen it, right?

[...]

Did she say anything about that?

Riful mentioned something about that; that there'd been some kind of big battle there. And the energy there being bad.

As for Gaia, Jeira mentioned her as a possibility, as someone who could be connected to him but also someone who would have power over him. He did get really irritated when his mother was brought up one time.

[He debates whether to say anything. It's not as though he has any particular desire to help the rest of them, but...]

... I sensed those same feelings myself.

[Ultimately, it's just stating a fact.]

He does love his mama. That might've been why he was angry. [Said with the begrudging exasperation of someone who's had to deal with him before.]

From what we learned, it was definitely bad. All out war on both sides, and chaos and death left in their wake. It was a nightmare, deciphering murals and piecing together just what this place had gone through.
