The last thing you recall is likely your own death. Whether it was fast or slow, it's over now. And you're... where are you?
One moment, you were among the living. The next - you may be one of the unfortunate ones who actually died. In which case, you've found yourself flowing in the lazy rivers of the river Styx, unfathomably deep underground. Just for a moment, mind you. It's not long before your consciousness is yanked from the waters by some scary monsters, shoved into a healed body, and pushed through a portal.
Or, maybe you were caught red-handed and sentenced to your doom. But, instead of a proper death, you were whisked down into the Veins of Tartarus. And there's really only one place that could lead to... Or is it?
You've been tossed down here by the will of the Titan, but what you find is A helping hand swooping you up - possibly literally, and potentially out of the grasp of the Titan himself.
Not a moment after, you're whisked through another rift, this one a shimmering gold. Into a realm of slightly more stable platforms and a lot more shit to look through. The area is practically littered with the ill-gotten goods of a thieving God (who is happy to note via pop-up illusion that you are touching his stuff). Here, however, you are safe; assured that Typhon cannot find or hurt you here.
For the moment, you can breathe before the next part comes.

But he'd hoped that against all odds, things would have gotten better for him after Zvei died. That maybe he could have found companionship among the others and acceptance that he wasn't afforded back in Spira, that maybe those who were so adamant to defend him against Zvei during the seance would look out for him—]

[Seymour made his decision, and he'll die for it now he's caught. It's only a matter of time before he winds up here.
He doesn't look up to acknowledge Omega, eyes glued to the fight breaking out and silently hoping that maybe Seymour will still find a way out of this. Killing them all would be better than ending up in this miserable plane of existence.
But Seymour isn't done yet.
Though he doesn't have claws like Seymour, his nails pierce his palms so hard they open injuries anyway. Zvei doesn't bother healing them, or trying to staunch the blood. Maybe if he'd just told Seymour in the first place, they could have talked about this and they could have—

[It's angry, for once. Zvei - and Ivilezlei, for that matter - have never truly been angry. Oh sure, the self-hatred was always simmering beneath the surface, but anger? It's unfamiliar and raw and painful, and he hates it almost as much as he hates being so damn empty.]
He's a skilled mage - and any damage that could have been done to him was healed. More than that, his power - no one ever found out what it was.
[It could have been used in any number of ways in this case. Ultimately, it was a vibes guess rather than anything he had concrete evidence for, but he knew the moment they started laying the evidence out. He knew, just as Seymour had known, and he kept quiet, just as Seymour had. And look at all the good it did, with events playing out on an even greater scale than his own stage, destined to end in either the same way or an even worse one.]

[He doubts Seymour has any interest in pursuing Aoi or Quark further. Just two people killed because Typhon gave the order and gave him the power to try to eliminate the rest. When - if, please let it be if - he joins them, then Seymour will have to make his own decision on what to do and how to move forward.
If he's smart, he won't bother with trying to better himself.]
