Endgame: Part 1
Aug. 28th, 2025 03:06 amBetween the scouting efforts of Fenyx, and the database of scans and knowledge Omega had accumulated of Tartarus, it takes less time than you would think before Fenyx rushes back to the group with adrenaline shining in her eyes.
"It's Typhon. We've found him."
She's grabbing this and that, scrounging resources out of seemingly random containers. "He's still down here, and I think he's vulnerable. So, now is the time to strike."
She beholds each of you, a ragtag group of godlings, thrown into far, far more than they ever bargained for. It's nostalgic, in a way. "I know this won't be easy. If you really don't want to come along, you can stay here and stay safe, but I would really appreciate anyone willing to lend a hand. This might be our only chance."
Regardless of how many agree to set off with her, Fenyx leads the charge through the portal. You exit once more into the depths of Tartarus on a long, floating platform that stretches out before you. Lined with cracked columns, it shifts into a set of stairs leading up to some sort of walled-arena. Said walls are massive, bearing multiple facsimiles of Typhon's face.
It's quiet. But not for long.
"You were a fool to attempt to usurp my control, Typhon. I gave you a second chance, shared power with you, and you've disappointed me."
The voice you've heard before drips with condescension. It isn't an echo of a memory, this is happening right now. It's real.
"I... would never... bow to a god. Surely, you weren't foolish enough to imagine that- Gaaah!"
A snarl of pain bounces off the stonework.
